Scottsdale | Creative Arts Center
Adaptive re-use has taken Phoenix Metro by storm as a sustainable and smart way to breathe life into old buildings. Not every building can be deemed historic just because it’s old, but we think there’s little to be gained by demolishing structures that are still perfectly serviceable. Old buildings come with assets that money can’t buy. They have an irreplaceable patina and character that just can’t be feigned. In the case of the future Creative Center of Scottsdale, their building came loaded with a story tangled up in gun culture. Projects like this can really push our limits of both taste and ingenuity, and pose irresistible opportunities
to respond creatively to the material we’re provided.
