Duke
Built in 1947, the Duke Photography building has over time, become an iconic building in the metro Phoenix area.
The simple structure that was originally used as a shopping center, became the place for Jim Duke to develop a thriving photography business.
Now vacant, this landmark is being repurposed into a food market, café and retail stores as an Adaptive Reuse project.
The street presence will be reactivated with a new canopy wrapping around the northern part of the building. This will include an open landscaped area for patrons to enjoy during their visit. The Duke will become a new destination point while also improving the pedestrian experience for the local community.
