Deley Residence

The site for this northern Arizona property slopes up to 18 percent across much of the site and is home to various boulders larger than some houses.  Working with the Owner, placement of the home was critical to take advantage of the existing boulders and view from the top of the site.

The plan was organized to keep the main living spaces at the primary level with the guest quarters and car parking located at the lower levels. Materials are limited to natural stone for the base with accents of blackened wood and glass. The roof hovers above the main level with a gentle slope and lifts towards the sunset views and mountains to the west.
