The design of this two-story ranch home is a modern re-interpretation of a ranch style home. Special attention was taken to avoid hard, cold, museum like spaces and create livable, vibrant and comfortable spaces that were conductive to family life. Vibrant art hangs on smooth surfaced, white walls. Soft and warm materials like wood flooring in the bedroom and natural wood kitchen cabinet fronts compliment sleek stone countertops, steel wall panels at the fireplace and large format tile flooring.

From the front, the house appears to be a single story, but since the property slopes away from the street, a walkout basement was designed with the kid’s and guest bedrooms located on the lower level. Along with an expanse of windows along the exterior wall, the stairs leading down to the lower level are daylight by a skylight above that washes light into both spaces. Additionally, each room in the house has a carefully orchestrated view and connection to the exterior. Whether you are in the dining room, office, bathtub or the closet you are always presented with a spectacular view. Operable windows were incorporated throughout to allow the opportunity for fresh air when needed.
